Upper Limb Orthoses

Can we give you a hand … actually we support the one you have.

At Ortho Design, we specialize in creating a range of upper limb orthoses to suit different needs. Our collection includes various splints that effectively treat carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritic conditions. By relieving discomfort throughout the day and night, our splints enable you to engage in your desired activities, return to work, and enjoy a pain-free life.

For neuromuscular conditions such as brain injury, stroke, and arthritis, we offer both custom and prefabricated resting braces. Additionally, we create heavy-duty leather working splints for those who prefer the natural molding and breathability of leather. Our wrist and hand braces can also be made from different thermoplastics to create either flexible or rigid lightweight braces. We use high-temperature plastics to produce stronger braces that can be made with thinner materials.

We understand that everyone’s bracing needs are unique! That’s why our diverse fabrication capabilities allow us to accommodate each person’s individual requirements.

Wrist-Hand Orthoses - WHO

A wrist-hand orthosis (WHO) is an orthotic device designed to support and stabilize the wrist and hand. It is commonly used to treat conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, sprains or joint
contracture. WHOs can be customized to fit a patient’s unique anatomy and are typically made from materials such as metal, plastic, leather, or fabric. It is an important tool in helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life.

WHOs provide:

  • joint support and stabilization
  • relief from pain and discomfort
  • improved mobility and range of motion

It may be recommended for individuals who have suffered a traumatic injury, have a chronic condition, or need additional support during physical
activity. An elbow orthotic’s specific design and use will depend on the individual’s needs and condition.
